New camera!

My boyfriend and I got a new camera!
We're still trying to figure out how it works, but it's definately much better than my old one.

It's a good thing we got the camera now, because in 2 weeks from now, we will get a cute little kitten!!
We still haven't decided on the name.. It is such a pretty kitty!! We will make tons of photos, for sure! B-)

Oh and lots of photos of our birds too of course.
We've had 9 Asian blue quail chicks and the hen is incubating 7 eggs as we speak, so in about 1 week time they're supposed to hatch. And the Bengalese finches have 2 chicks too! :aww:

Greetings from a bit cold Finland

I started feeding birds for the incoming winter and now they eat everything! :sprint:
:iconwodd:
Hey Jari! :glomp:
That's awesome that the birds are coming for a snack again. And it gives you a chance to make beautiful photographs again! :w00t!:

Hi!

Only thing what I am now missing is some wider variety of species that are present. Its mostly Tits now and some Bullfinches. Some Jays are also around but they are almost always overwhelmed by the Tits - Just need to find a place for them to feed.

Feeding all those birds is of course a bit expensive, but the reward is that sweet constant buzzing of wings when you are very close to the feeding place
:iconwodd:
Here it is starting to get colder too, so people have started putting up food for the birds. I was walking with our cat (the poor thing is still on a leash, but soon we'll allow him to go outside on his own) and suddenly many birds flew up. At first I thought that we (the cat and I) had scared them, but then 3 really big crows flew over our heads. So now I think the crows scared the little birds away.

Those bullfinches are very beautiful birds too!

Here we mostly see great and blue tits. And robins, do you get robins too?

like a boss

These setting hold no room for relief.
Boxed in a silhouette where an arms reach only extends one inch compared to a mile.
Where sound traveled as if it stood still to reflect words spoken

You're welcome :)

SO! My boyfriend made me a video on youtube! Just wanted to share it: [link] :aww:

I think you mean the parrotlets? (Abarai, Renji & Jera)
Unfortunately they all died, so I don't have any parrotlets anymore.
They are very cute birds, but can be quite aggressive so it's not a good idea to stick them in an aviary with other birds.

I do have 2 budgies, 2 Lineolated parakeets, 2 Bengalese finches (with at the moment 5 chicks) and 3 Asian blue quails (which produced a total of 16 chicks this summer) and 1 Gouldian finch in our backyard aviary, so I can't complain. :aww:
:iconmilkandcookies22:
yeah, i meant them. :( no! i'm so sorry!
